The Weight of Strength

For most of my life, I thought strength meant holding everything together. Smiling when my heart was breaking. Showing up even when I was unraveling inside. Pretending I was fine because I didn’t want anyone to see the cracks.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned in my own journey: strength isn’t about perfection—it’s about honesty. Real strength is found in the moments we let ourselves fall apart, admit we’re not okay, and still choose to get back up again.

This past week tested me in ways I didn’t expect. Between illness, exhaustion, and days that felt unbearably heavy, I could feel myself spiraling. My OCD whispered its familiar lies, and I had to fight hard not to listen. I leaned on therapy, movement, and quiet walks to find my footing again. It wasn’t pretty—but it was real. And that’s what resilience looks like.

Maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe you’re in it right now. If so, I want you to know you’re not weak for struggling. You’re not failing because you feel the weight of it all. Sometimes surviving is the bravest thing we can do.

Unbroken was written from this place—from the tension between breaking and rebuilding, from the courage it takes to face the hardest parts of ourselves and keep going anyway.

✨ My hope is that as you read these pages, you’ll see your own strength reflected back at you.
